Home: Holiday Beach House with Serena and Lily and Palm Beach Lately

The holidays are in full swing down here in Palm Beach, and we have been bustling around getting everything ready for the holiday season! When we were working on our holiday decor this year, we turned to our partner in design, Serena & Lily, to help create a Holiday Beach House! We paired some of our favorite pieces from their home collection with other festive touches that will have you feeling warm and fuzzy this holiday season. So come on in and stay a little while… and be sure to take advantage of their 25% off event!

One of my very favorite rooms in a house is the dining room. As a family of five who also lives near almost all of our family on both my husband and I’s sides, we spend a lot of time eating together. I hadn’t updated this space in a while and still use a very old dining table that my kids are able to create all kinds of messy projects on. But, I decided to update our dining chairs with these stunning white rattan side chairs and rattan arm chairs by Serena & Lily. They fit so well into our decor and are durable, too. For the holidays, I hung a collection of wreaths (here, here) with this beautiful blush ribbon by Brooke & Lou and put fresh amaryllis flowers on our table. I also love this shell chandelier over our dining table!

Our dining nook is a comfy spot where guests can enjoy a drink and appetizer while they wait for dinner. You can see how The Painted Ox recently reupholstered my settee in grey and white fabric here. I also added a white table with two blush wicker chairs, a mixture of lemon and raffia pillows, two floral prints in gold bamboo frames, this amazing rattan parasol light fixture, and new blush taper candles by Brooke & Lou in the brass pineapples. Our go to spread is always a variety of cheese and crackers with small bites like olives, nuts and chocolates. I also love making Bacon Wrapped Dates with Goat Cheese and pair them with a sparkling drink.

For the holidays, one of our favorite ways to create a warm welcome is through a cozy entryway. I placed a simple white bench by the door so guests can set their belongings down and softened the seat with a blush pillow, raffia pillow and striped throw by Serena & Lily. It is almost always sunny in Florida, so I also have a few sun hats above the bench that are practical and add personality. I also love a good console table with a gold mirror and went all out this year decorating it with fresh cedar garland, the best blush ribbon and a blush, white, gold and green paper village collection to bring a festive feel to this space!

And last but not least, we love how our sunroom is coming along! This room lets in a ton of light and beautiful views of the golf course. We love to sit in here to read books, do our work, rock in a chair, talk, and rest. We just added this rattan pendant to the ceiling and it really makes the room! If you have a room with lots of windows, you can add fresh or faux cedar wreaths to them so they look like they are floating. We also put up our Christmas tree this week and will be sharing all of the details about the ornaments and more this Friday!

Happy holidays!! xo
