Ahh, summer is here. It is time to relax, slow down and savor the sweet rhythm of long, sunny days. With al fresco living being a big part of our lives, creating an outdoor dining and lounge space was the next big project on my design list. When I was dreaming up this outdoor space, I immediately thought of our friends at Serena & Lily. Come along today to see our favorite outdoor pieces by them and learn how you can recreate this look, too!
I started with a blank canvas and wanted to create a cozy, inviting, lush, floral space for entertaining. First, I started with Serena & Lily’s beautiful Terrace Dining Table in all white. It’s spacious and seats 8-10 people, which is great for accommodating our 2 families. For dining chairs, I love their Pacifica Dining Chair in Light Dune. The warm, natural color is my favorite tone and the chairs come with luxurious cushions that are very comfortable. The end chairs look so pretty with Sunbrella Lido Pillows in Coastal Blue on them. And to dress the table for summer, I love their natural raffia Kokkari Placemats, Salento Linen Napkins in Coastal Blue, and Cayman Seagrass-Wrapped Pitcher and Glasses.
For the lounge area of the patio, I continued the classic wicker look with a Pacifica Sofa and Lounge Chair in Light Dune. I ordered the cushions in the same fabric as the dining chairs, the Perennials Basketweave Fabric in White. All of their performance fabrics are designed to repel water, resist mildew and stand up to extreme sun. On the sofa and chair, I had fun selecting a variety of pillows in their beautiful Coastal Blue color. My favorites include the Beach Stripe Pillow Cover, Sunbrella Veracruz Pillow Cover, Perennials Rosemount Pillow Cover, and the Salerno Pillow Cover. I also added an Anacapa Rectangular Coffee Table in the pretty white lattice pattern, a pair of Kent Lanterns and a Suffolk Tray.
In the grassy lawn off the patio, I added a pair of Pacifica Chaises in Light Dune with Beach Stripe Pillow Covers in Coastal Blue and an Alicante Tassel Umbrella in White. All around the patio and garden, I had our landscaper plant blush bougainvilleas, green topiaries and blush English roses from my favorite nursery, Whitetrail Social & Garden Club, in big terracotta pots. Katie from Whitetrail has been helping me grow roses on our arbor since last June, and they are one of my very favorite plants to grow. We are now officially ready for summer and can’t wait to have family and friends over to enjoy the new space!
