Making the transition from summer into fall fashion can be very tricky for us Florida gals. We can’t jump right into jeans and boots come September because cooler weather is still a few months away. And while we are so thankful for a year-round summery vibe, we also love dressing for other seasons, too. So this year, we are focusing on creating our own take on the fall wardrobe here in Florida!
Ruffle tops are the number one trend that we’ll definitely continue wearing into fall. We love this white asymmetric one, as it’s perfect for tucking into flowy skirts and it goes with everything. I’ve already worn it a few times with all different skirts since getting it last week! We also love this blue ruffle top. This shade of blue makes a great neutral that looks so pretty when paired with just about any other color, especially blush <see more of our favorite blue and blush looks here, here and here>!
To break from summer shorts without overheating, we are all about capri pants and skirts. This pair of slim blush chinos has the cutest little flowers and bees embroidered on them, and they are a much cooler option than jeans. We also love this blue and white striped skirt in a comfy cotton. Both the capri pants and midi skirt are perfect picks for busy mamas like us who are all over the place and want to look pulled together, but still be comfortable!
To complete our looks, we love blush sunnies <here and here>, a wicker basket or bag and neutral slides, especially when embellished with pearls. We’ll definitely be wearing all of these styles a lot over the next couple months, so plan on seeing them here on the blog again! And we’d love to hear, what are your favorite non-traditional fall pieces?
