Travel: What We Packed for Key West

Palm Beach Lately What We Packed for Key West

We spent many summers in the Florida Keys as little girls and have lots of fun memories exploring the sea by boat and soaking up the sunshine. The Keys are an especially desirable vacation destination for Palm Beachers because it’s only a two-ish hour car ride from Palm Beach to Key Largo and just three more hours to Key West. The two-lane road that connects the chain of islands from Key Largo to Key West is a must-do road trip that features a string of quaint hotels and restaurants that haven’t changed much over the years.

It’s been a few years since we have been to the Keys, and we couldn’t wait to get back for a relaxing vacation to kick-off summer. For this trip, we decided to book a “sistercation” in Key West and stay at Casa Marina, A Waldorf Astoria Resort! We have so many fun details from our trip last week to share with you <including our full Guide to Key West coming later this week>, but first we are sharing some of the vacation clothes that we packed!

The most important thing to plan for when packing for the Keys is the heat and humidity. The Keys are also very casual and you can easily get away with simple swimsuits and cover ups, but we found these really beautiful summer prints <think pineapples, lemons and tropical patterns> in bright colors and breezy styles for our adventures. Don’t miss the cute packing graphic above that Sagebrushed created for us <love it and her adorable cards!>, as well as the “shop this post” links below. And make sure to come back later this week to see and hear more about where we stayed, ate and played in Key West!
