Living Spotlight: Delray Beach's Award-Winning Sundy House

This week’s Palm Beach Lately “Living” segment spotlights one of Palm Beach County’s most enchanting and tranquil escapes: the Sundy House.

The Sundy House is the historic home of Mr. John Sundy, Delray Beach’s very first mayor in 1902. Its surrounding acre of tropical gardens and ponds boasts more than 5,000 plants and 500 varieties of foliage from around the world. Today it serves as an incredible restaurant, beloved wedding venue and distinctive hotel destination.

Restaurant – The Sundy House is proud to introduce its new Executive Chef,  a finalist on the Bravo television series “Top Chef Texas”, Lindsay Autry.  Offering lunch, dinner and a renowned Sunday Brunch indoors or al fresco, the Sundy House is a sensory experience for both the eyes and the palette.  Now offering Happy Hour Tuesday to Thursday from 5:00 pm to close.  $5 well drinks and specialty martinis, with live music 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
Wedding – Lovely gazebos, crystal clear ponds teeming with wildlife and lush views of tropical foliage and historic architecture makes this the perfect intimate wedding setting.  Arrange for your guests to stay on the property or nearby and enjoy a close proximity to the ocean and all downtown Delray Beach has to offer.

Hotel – Whether you are visiting from out of town or searching for a charming yet luxurious stay-cation destination, the Sundy House can accommodate.  It offers 11 uniquely themed guest accommodations that are hidden throughout their acre of tropical gardens and ponds.  Its serene atmosphere and fantastic location simply can’t be beat.

It’s Palm Beach Lately approved; we love it, and we know you will, too!
