We love gathering with family and friends over delicious meals, especially for celebrations and special occasions, as often as possible. When we aren’t hosting in our own homes, we enjoy visiting both staples and new spots in the area for family dinners, date nights and girls’ nights. Recently, we were looking for a great place to host our brother’s surprise 30th birthday party and were curious about Palm Beach’s new restaurant, Costa. We decided to swing by one afternoon to check it out and instantly knew it would be the perfect place to host a lively dinner party!

If you haven’t heard of Costa, it’s the island’s new Mediterranean eatery that is nestled above Gucci at 150 Worth. The modern restaurant’s bright and airy interior features pops of blue and black, lots of stripes, and a sea of inviting booths and bistro chairs arranged around rustic dining tables. Their “casual elegance” vibe is right up our alley, and we especially loved the private room in the back for our brother’s birthday dinner.

Costa’s Executive Chef, David Valencia, has honed his craft for the past 10 years at some of the country’s most influential restaurants. His passion for fresh produce and vibrant spices can be found throughout the restaurant’s menu that features Mediterranean fare with specialties from Spain to Morocco. For our brother’s dinner, we enjoyed a family style spread that started with roasted artichoke and hummus platters topped with toasted pine nuts, feta and pomegranates, then moved to roasted chickens with root vegetables and basmati rice served in a warm tanginess, and finished with baklava for dessert.

The service at Costa was warm and friendly, the ambience was refreshing and the food was delicious. We highly recommend trying this new restaurant and if you go, don’t miss their special summer menu that offers 50% off from 3-7 pm and $1 oysters on Wednesdays for Ladies Night. When you pop in, make sure to tell them Palm Beach Lately sent you and let us know what you think!
