Beauty: Danielle's Favorite Beauty Finds

Happy Monday!  We hope you are enjoying our daily posts Monday through Friday in our favorite categories: Beauty, Living, Social, Style and Weekender.  For "Beauty" today, we are taking a sneak peek into the medicine cabinet of Palm Beach Lately Co-Founder, Danielle Norcross.  A mother of one with another on the way, Danielle shares her favorite beauty finds for ladies who want to effortlessly look their best with quick products that deliver BIG results.

This is my fave FAVE body oil to slather on during and post pregnancy to prevent stretch marks and tone my skin.  The all natural formula contains no preservatives or added fragrances - but smells delicious! - and is very safe for mom and baby.  Best of all, it leaves you glowing

Statement nails are in, and Estee Lauder's Spring 2013 Paris Macarons Collection is on point with our favorite colors here at Palm Beach Lately.  Featuring pastel shades like Narcissist, Lilac Leather, Coral Cult, Diletantte and Absinthe, these are the IT colors to wear this spring!

Ladies, meet my not-so-secret weapon!  If you are looking for an under eye product that both corrects and brightens, this is the product for you.  The lightweight, long-wearing formula minimizes dark areas and brightens your eyes, making it a must have for all makeup bags!

4. FlyDry Frequent Dryer - $175 for 6 blowouts
Styling my hair while chasing a toddler can be hard to do!  Luckily, FlyDry's new Palm Beach location is so convenient to swing by for a quick blowout that leaves me feeling fabulous for days.  And their "frequent dryer" special makes it worth it to stop in at least once a week!

I swear by this gentle exfoliating and detoxifying face mask.  It works especially well in the winter and during pregnancy when my skin can be dull, dehydrated and stressed.  Use it once a week to remove the imperfections and reveal a fresh, soft and radiant new layer of skin!

Thank you for taking a tour of my absolutely favorite beauty finds!  If you start using one or all of them, I know you won't be disappointed!!  And don't forget to join the conversation by using hashtag #PBLBeauty.  We want to see how YOU put these products to use! xo

Famous Living: Frédéric Fekkai's Secrets To Flawless Beauty

Palm Beach Lately recently sat down with Frédéric Fekkai, the world-renowned celebrity hair stylist known for "innovative cuts, premium hair products and a rarefied salon concept".  He is praised not for one signature look, but for customizing and focusing on the individual.  His exclusive salon in the Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach is a favorite among celebrities and locals who are looking to relax and recharge with the complete Fekkai experience.  Read on for his exclusive tips to look your best, his secrets to success and his favorite Palm Beach spots.

1. What is your philosophy to look your best?
It's the vision of your whole silhouette.  It's all about beauty and style, not just dressing your hair.  It's finding a style that belongs to you and your personality through clothes and makeup with the right color, fit and accessories.  Be versatile yet uniform, know your own style and create ensembles that work together.

2. What are your favorite Palm Beach spots?
The Brazilian Court is a hidden treasure and Buccan.

3. What is your secret to success?
Teamwork, understanding people and being a good leader.  Know the vision and what you stand for.  Our Fekkai language is uniform and clients trust the philosophy.

4. When you are not working, where can you be found?
I love to travel and enjoy life.  Favorites include my farm in upstate New York, London, Paris, open land, skiing, Marrakech, time with family and nature.  Travel keeps you young.

5. What are the hot trends this season?
Colorful and glamorous, well styled with a great handbag and clothes and hair well done, but undone and not perfectly coiffed.  Wear your hair up and get highlights, but not from the root.

FlyDry Blowdry Bar's newest location has the island buzzing with excitement!  After spending 15 years in Manhattan, Kate Fogarty founded the first FlyDry Blowdry Bar in February 2012 in Delray Beach.  Less than a year later in December, Kate opened the only one of its kind in Palm Beach inside Deborah Koepper Beauty.  Her speedy salons offer first-class blowouts and makeup application seven days a week for half the time and price of a full-service salon!

Palm Beach Lately was treated to the FlyDry shampoo, scalp massage and blowout before our Sail to Sable/Palm Beach Lately tunic launch party, and we flipped over our experience!  Kate's futuristic salon nails every detail, like red and white striped water straws, a catchy flight-themed menu, yummy products and seasoned stylists.  The result?  Two fabulous and different hairstyles that received compliments all night!  For girls like us who are always on the go and attend many events, this salon is the answer to our hair prayers.  If you haven't tried it, call and make an appointment today - we are sure you'll become "frequent dryers", too!

Palm Beach Lately recently had the privilege of shooting a few of our favorite pieces from Lilly Pulitzer's Spring 2013 Collection that is available starting January 25th!  The shots were taken at iconic Palm Beach locations, just like they did back in the 60's... barefoot in the fountains at the 400 building on South Ocean Boulevard, sunning by The Earl E. T. Smith Preservation Park, gazing down Worth Avenue on tip toes and standing by the gates at the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum {the original shot was taken from the bike trail with Lilly's home in the background, but the gate was destroyed by a hurricane years ago, so the new shot was taken not far from Lilly's home}.

The Spring Lilly palette features Splash Pink and a new Flutter Blue that are the perfect way to stylishly start the new season.  The featured "Lately" models include Palm Beach Lately Co-Founder, Beth Beattie {in Wonda Jacket, Dahlia Top and Luxury Capri}, Lilly Pulitzer Palm Beach Garden's Assistant Store Manager, Catherine Milligan {in Joslin Dress}, Lilly Pulitzer Palm Beach Garden's Store Associate, Julie Wilson {in Pearl Dress}, and  Lilly Pulitzer's Granddaughter, Lilly Leas {in Julianna Dress}.  These fabulous ladies pulled the vintage ads, styled the shoot, scouted the locations and made sure it was 100% Lilly, right down to the bare feet.  Many thanks to Lilly Pulitzer and the Palm Beach Lately team for recreating these iconic Palm Beach looks!
